Review a book - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

After watching the movie of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, I read this book after I came to New Zealand. There is a completely different feeling between the movie and the book about Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, although the storyline in the film has been closely followed in the book.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' is the first book in the magical 7-book series, which introducing a young boy, Harry. He has been brought up for the past 10 years by his aunt and uncle, who have been keeping Harry's secret very well hidden from him. When he reaches his 11th birthday he finds out that his is a wizard and is invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There is one of the most engrossing and enjoyable stories ever written at the beginning.
The first book is obviously a great place to start for Rowling, but the book is reasonably short. To considering reading the Harry Potter books for the first time, my suggestion would be this - forget about the real world and enjoy seven of the best books ever written, which can be enjoyed by children and adults.

Oral Blog Portfolio Post Entry Seven Diploma Lecture 2 - First Aid

First Aid is when someone is hurt in an accident, another person gives help the injured person at the first time. In New Zealand, when you see an accident and some one hurt, you should call 111 at the first time, and then do the first aid as soon as you can. First aid is the provision of limited care for an illness or injury when an accident happened. During this case, you should stop, you should think whether I safe, you should move which talk to the persons, look the persons' feeling and help them to breathe. Then dial and call CPR, you need to begin to press. when waiting for CPR, you should go on pressing. If pressing an adult, you need to use two hands; if pressing a child, you need to use one hand for 30 times; if pressing a baby, you only need to two figures. when an accident happen, you should help everyone you can help.

Text Blog Entry Eight - an article about China in The Guardian UK

Here is a link to the article in The Guardian UK, which happened in TAIWAN about Olympic Game's torch last two weeks. The article is about the plan of Beijing’s Olympics torch. On Thursday, Beijing’s Olympics committee said the Olympic torch would enter Taiwan from Ho Chi Minh City and leave it for Hong Kong. But when received the announcement at the first time, the "Taipei’s government" rejected the plan. They claimed that the plan would injure the benefit of “their country” and they would not accept the plan. Because of the reasons of politics, “Taiwan” government would not accept anything what main China government does in Taiwan. After “Taipei’s government” rejection, there were many brickbats from around the world. The Olympic Game is expected to see for the people from the world every four years.

Review - CASINO ROYALE

James Bond, who is a spy of British, is the protagonist of a movie which is Casino Royal. I think the most successful invigoration of a cinematic franchise since Batman began, and Casino Royal offers a new Bond identity. I was really looking forward to this film as cinema’s advertising had shown that Bond is back and Craig is the best Bond ever. Casino royal is one of the truly great bad movies of all time. It is a weird, bold, funny and incoherent movie. There are many beautiful, and often sexily dressed or relatively undressed women everywhere you look. Many of its segments are funny, but it's occasionally boring. I should confess that as a young person I did love the film, but it’s nor for children and older people.

Oral Blog Entry Six - Picture Comparison 2

There are two pictures which show different types of classrooms. The first picture is a classroom in the kindergarten where many children are drawing. They are wholly absorbed drawing Individually without teachers. The second picture is a classroom where students are learning in a group with computers. The students make a group with 5 people and use a computer to deal with their tasks. These two pictures which are both about studying in classroom, I think the second one is more effective. The students can use the computer to deal with the difficult work when they can’t finish the work. What’s more, they can share their idea more easily than they can without a computer.

Text Blog Post Entry Seven - Auckland Museum Diploma Trip

I really enjoyed it because it was the first time I had visited this place before since I got here. Last week I went to Auckland War Memorial Museum for a trip by a taxi, because I don't know where to catch the bus to Auckland Domain Park. It wa lovely weather that day. The Auckland Museum has three floors which all have their own exhibits. The Ground Level tells the story of Pacific People: Maori, Pakeha, the peoples of Oceania and other newcomers; the Natural History galleries are all located in level 1; the context about the second world war, whose galleries are located in level 2.
The ground level tells me about the people of the Pacific – from the great Pacific navigators, and the Polynesians to New Zealand’s original people, the Maori.

The first level tells me about LAND stories, from geological origins to the strange (kiwi) and wonderful flightless (Moa) animals for which New Zealand is know. I was able to learn that what is uniquely ancient about the oceans, forests and animals here.

The top level tells me about the Second World War how the New Zealanders battled against other countries. There are some airplanes which were used in the world war, and some Armory belonging to New Zealand.
In the last part, I saw a performance of Maori culture. It was a wonderful dance. I really loved it.

Text Blog Post Entry Six - Domestic News Paper Headlines

I came across this article in stuff.co.nz which I found quite hard. It's about the Construction of Transmission Gully is which has been delayed; as a result, the government should pay extra $2million a week. Many taxpayers claimed that their money was being wasted as the Gully project was delayed. Transmission Gully is important for the Wellington region's economic growth, but now it is like having the Berlin Wall. A manager of transit Wellington regional said the latest of transmission gully costing is $984 million compared to $100million a year at the beginning. Mr. McDavitt granted that NZ’s major works process was slow. A transport project which took seven years from beginning to finishing in NZ would take only two years in Australia.
